Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

Not for the Explorer. You need one to create your team or join one through an invite link, and one account can belong to several teams.

Where does the public utility come from?

From two of us, sens and Leon, who have made it a daily habit for years. We pick pro demos apart, note the grenade that swung the round, then work out how to line it up on the practice server until it holds in every condition. The basics everyone knows are not there: the library keeps the utility worth the detour, filmed and placed on the 3D model, with its reference points.

Does my team's data stay private?

Yes. Everything your team adds belongs to it and no other team can see it: the database checks it on every read, not just the interface. Inside the team, admins decide who sees and edits each module.

Do I need to install anything?

No, everything works in the browser. To drive the site mid-match without leaving the game, you can pick the Chrome extension, whose media keys work in game out of the box (the Alt + arrow variants must be switched to “Global” in chrome://extensions/shortcuts), or the Windows app, which also takes a single key. By default its hotkeys are only active while CS2 is in front; you can change that.

Is the Windows app a problem with VAC?

We can't speak for Valve, so here is exactly what the app does. It opens the site in a window and listens for the hotkeys you chose (and the keyboard, while you pick one in its settings). To arm them only in game, a setting on by default, it reads nothing but the name of the program in front. The clip recorder captures the game window's image through Windows' screen capture, like any recording software. It neither reads nor changes the game's memory or files, and injects nothing into it.

Is ezstrats affiliated with Valve?

No. ezstrats is an independent project, built by the LDC team (Lanceurs de cailloux, the stone throwers), neither affiliated with nor endorsed or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Counter-Strike 2, CS2, Steam and Valve are trademarks of Valve Corporation.
